Meet us.
Audrey and Julie
Our team approach brings value to the students, career clients, and families we work with. Our professional backgrounds and strengths complement one another, making for a partnership that ensures availability, flexibility, thoroughness, and professionalism. Add to that a shared “positivity bias,” and we see all sorts of possibilities for the people we work with.
Audrey Brown
-
Audrey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree from Georgetown University. She has worked as an editor and writing coach for more than 20 years and loves helping people figure out what they want to say and how best to say it.
Over the years, Audrey has worked with many high school students, helping them to craft thoughtful, well-developed personal essays that are honest and insightful and that complement their college application. She is committed to helping students be comfortable with (and even enjoy) the process of crafting their college essays and to encouraging them to present themselves authentically through their writing.
Audrey has completed coursework in copy and developmental editing from the University of Chicago and in college and career advising through UC Berkeley’s Certificate Program in College Admissions and Career Planning.
When she is not working with words, you can find Audrey pulling weeds from her garden or hiking, mountain biking, or skiing in the New Hampshire woods.
Julie Goodrich
-
Julie has worked with young adults ever since she became one herself. Her 20-plus years of experience in the employment sector has allowed her to sit on “both sides of the desk”: as a recruiter hiring recent graduates into internships and full-time jobs and as a career consultant advising students at the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Adding college admissions advising to her offerings has been a natural extension of her career-focused work. With High Street, Julie enjoys helping students to identify their goals and transitioning to their next step—be it college, graduate school, or a postgraduate path.
In addition to all of this “purpose and pathing,” Julie is an arts enthusiast and has enjoyed sharing her passion with students of all ages as a gallery and volunteer museum educator. When she isn’t learning about art, you can find Julie on her paddleboard in Lake Michigan or hiking, biking, and skiing in the mountains of New England—her preferred way to spend time with family and friends.
Julie has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Writing from Marquette University, a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College, and she is completing a College Admissions Certification through UC Berkeley Extension. She’s an active member of the Marquette Mentorship Program and a former Dartmouth Admission Alumni Interviewer.

“You put together such a fantastic application. I loved reading about everything you’re involved in. You have one of the most full and comprehensive activities sections I’ve seen this year! Also your essay was so personal and well-written. It was funny and self-reflective all at the same time.”
